Blackpool Football Club are an English football club founded in 1887 from the Lancashire seaside town of Blackpool. They are competing the 2010–11 season in the Premier League, the top tierFootball League Championship play-off Final at the end of the 2009–10Football League. It is their debut in the Premier League, and it is their first appearance in England's top flight since 1971. It completes a climb of four divisions in nine years. They hold the record for being the first club in English football to be promoted through all four divisions via the play-offs.
Birmingham City Football Club (pronounced /ˈbɜrmɪŋɡəm ˈsɪti/) is a professional association football club based in the city of Birmingham, England. Formed in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance, they became Small Heath in 1888, then Birmingham in 1905, finally becoming Birmingham City in 1943.[3] At the end of the 2008–09 season, they were promoted from the Football League Championship to spend their sixth season in the Premier League.
